Today we depart Esperance for the spectacular Cape Le Grand National Park, visiting the world-famous Lucky Bay, renowned for its dazzling white sands and turquoise waters. Travel along the iconic 90 Mile Straight—Australia’s longest straight stretch of road—before stopping to explore the fascinating caves near Madura. This morning we set off on scenic drives along the rugged Eyre Peninsula coastline, taking in the dramatic seascapes, windswept cliffs, and panoramic ocean views that define this spectacular region. Along the way, we visit Baird Bay and Labatt Point, home to one of the mainland’s largest Australian Sea lion colonies. We also visit the striking ancient granite formations of Murphy’s Haystacks. We arrive back early afternoon so you can relax and enjoy the quaint seaside town.

Starting from Streaky Bay, take the coastal route south along the Flinders Highway, stopping at Elliston to explore its dramatic clifftop drives, where rugged cliffs and panoramic ocean views make for perfect photo opportunities. From there, we continue down to Coffin Bay, where we will put on our waders and enjoy a hands-on oyster farm tour, wading into the waters to learn about oyster cultivation and tasting the region’s famed fresh oysters. After the tour, it’s a short drive to Port Lincoln, where you can settle in for our two night stay.

Today in Port Lincoln, we’ll discover why it’s hailed as the seafood capital of Australia! In the morning, we’ll take a town tour, exploring local highlights and getting a feel for the region’s maritime heritage. After lunch, we’ll board a boat for a tour of Boston Bay, learning about the diverse fisheries that make this area famous, including Tuna and Kingfish. The day concludes with a visit to the Fresh Fish Place, where we’ll tour a working fish processing facility before indulging in a gourmet seafood dinner—a truly fresh and unforgettable culinary experience.

This morning, we’ll drive along the east coast of the Eyre Peninsula, stopping briefly for morning tea before arriving in Whyalla. Here, we’ll enjoy the playful dolphins at the marina, explore the town’s unique jetty, and take a fascinating tour of the HMAS Whyalla, a historic naval ship turned museum. After soaking in the sights and stories of Whyalla, we continue our journey north to Port Augusta, ready for the next leg of our adventure.

Today we journey from the rugged outback to the rolling vineyards of wine country. We begin with a guided tour of the National Arid Botanical Gardens, discovering the unique flora of Australia’s arid regions. From there, we drive into the Southern Flinders Ranges, taking in spectacular views of Mount Remarkable and enjoying a short, scenic walk to stretch our legs. By afternoon, we continue on to the Clare Valley.
